Architecture of Wireless Pick To Light
Each of the wireless tag (AT305) will be connected wirelessly to the control box. The ATOP's wireless pick to light have enough juice to last 1 month operation or more before needing to recharge. It also has a battery indicator to signal low battery mode. The method of communication between this control box (AT300) is the same with other control boxes. The control box is able to hold a direct line of sight communication up to 30 metres.
Each control box is connected within the same IP subnet. This is the same for the PC as well. The connection between the control box to the switching hub is by a wired Cat5E / Cat6 connection. While we have received requests if it is possible to connect the control box wireless to the switching hub, the answer is yes with the assistance of access point. None the less this is not recommended.
From the software point of view, our AQPICK Pick to light application is able to communicate wirelessly to these light modules without problems. There are no additional customization required for our application to work with this wireless pick to light.
